Artist Bio:
Glen Campbell, born in 1936, was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor. He is best known for hits like "Rhinestone Cowboy," "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," and "Wichita Lineman." Campbell achieved crossover success in both country and pop music, winning numerous awards throughout his career, including multiple Grammy Awards and Country Music Association Awards.
Besides his successful music career, Campbell also appeared in films and television shows, such as the popular variety show "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour." He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and continued to perform and record music until his retirement in 2013. Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2011 and passed away in 2017 at the age of 81.
