Glen Campbell was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor. He was born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, Arkansas, and passed away on August 8, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee. Campbell was known for his smooth voice and country-pop hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including songs like "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Wichita Lineman," and "Gentle on My Mind."


Campbell released over 70 albums and sold more than 45 million records worldwide during his career. He won numerous awards, including multiple Grammy Awards and Country Music Association Awards. In addition to his music career, Campbell also appeared in films and television shows, such as the 1969 film "True Grit" alongside John Wayne. Glen Campbell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and remains a beloved figure in the country music genre.
