Glen Campbell was an American singer, songwriter, and actor, born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, Arkansas. He achieved great success in both country and pop music, with hits like "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Wichita Lineman," and "Gentle on My Mind." Campbell released over 70 albums and sold more than 45 million records during his career.
In addition to his music career, Campbell also appeared in films and television shows, including the popular variety show "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour." He won numerous awards throughout his career, including several Grammy Awards and Country Music Association Awards. Glen Campbell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. He passed away on August 8, 2017, after a battle with Alzheimer's disease.
