Glen Campbell was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor. He was born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, Arkansas, and passed away on August 8, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee. Campbell is best known for his country music hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Wichita Lineman," and "Gentle on My Mind." He also hosted a popular television variety show called "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" from 1969 to 1972.


Campbell was a highly accomplished musician, playing the guitar and banjo, and his talent earned him numerous awards, including multiple Grammy Awards and Country Music Association Awards. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Campbell's music career spanned over five decades, and he sold over 45 million records worldwide.
