Glen Campbell was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor, born on April 22, 1936, in Billstown, Arkansas. He rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with a string of hits, including "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Wichita Lineman," and "Gentle on My Mind." Campbell was known for his smooth voice, versatility in various music genres, and exceptional guitar skills. He won numerous awards throughout his career, including multiple Grammy Awards and Country Music Association Awards.


In addition to his successful music career, Campbell also starred in films and television shows, such as "True Grit" alongside John Wayne. He hosted "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour," a popular television variety show that ran from 1969 to 1972. Campbell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and continued to perform and record music until his retirement in 2012. Glen Campbell passed away on August 8, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
