Glenn Frey was an American singer, songwriter, and actor, best known as a founding member of the rock band the Eagles. Born on November 6, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Frey played a key role in the success of the Eagles, contributing lead vocals, guitar, and keyboards to the band's signature sound. He co-wrote many of the band's biggest hits, including "Take It Easy," "Peaceful Easy Feeling," and "Lyin' Eyes."
Aside from his work with the Eagles, Frey also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums and scoring hits with songs like "The Heat Is On" and "You Belong to the City." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Eagles in 1998. Frey passed away on January 18, 2016, at the age of 67, leaving behind a lasting legacy as one of the most influential figures in rock music.
