Glenn Frey was an American singer, songwriter, and actor, best known for being a founding member of the rock band Eagles. Born on November 6, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Frey played a key role in the success of the Eagles, contributing vocals, guitar, and keyboards to the band's signature sound. He co-wrote many of the band's biggest hits, including "Take It Easy," "Peaceful Easy Feeling," and "Lyin' Eyes."
Apart from his work with the Eagles, Frey also had a successful solo career, releasing several albums and scoring hits with songs like "The One You Love" and "You Belong to the City." Frey's talents as a musician and songwriter helped define the sound of 1970s rock music, and his contributions to the Eagles' legacy continue to be celebrated by fans and critics alike. Frey passed away on January 18, 2016, at the age of 67.
