Glenn Frey was an American singer, songwriter, and actor, best known for co-founding the rock band Eagles in 1971. He was born on November 6, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on January 18, 2016, in New York City at the age of 67. Frey was a key member of the Eagles, contributing vocals, guitar, and keyboards to the band's iconic sound. He co-wrote many of the band's biggest hits, including "Take It Easy," "Tequila Sunrise," and "Hotel California."


In addition to his work with the Eagles, Frey had a successful solo career with hits like "The Heat Is On" and "You Belong to the City." He also pursued acting roles, appearing in TV shows and movies such as "Miami Vice" and "Jerry Maguire." Frey's contributions to music and popular culture have solidified his legacy as a rock icon.
