Glenn Yarbrough was an American folk singer known for his distinctive tenor voice. He was born on January 12, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and passed away on August 11, 2016, in Nashville, Tennessee. Yarbrough gained fame as a member of the popular folk trio, The Limeliters, in the early 1960s.
He also had a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums and singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s. One of his most well-known songs is "Baby, the Rain Must Fall," which was featured in the 1965 Steve McQueen film of the same name. Yarbrough's music often featured a mix of folk, pop, and traditional ballads, and he was praised for his emotive vocal delivery.
