Gloria Lynne was an American jazz and R&B singer, born on November 23, 1929, in Harlem, New York City. She began her singing career at a young age and gained recognition for her powerful voice and emotional delivery. Lynne released her debut album, "Miss Gloria Lynne," in 1958 and went on to record over 20 albums throughout her career.


Lynne's most famous song is "I Wish You Love," which became a signature tune for her. She performed at top venues across the United States, including the Apollo Theater and Carnegie Hall. Lynne received critical acclaim for her unique vocal style, often compared to jazz legends such as Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington. She continued to perform and record music until her passing on October 15, 2013, leaving behind a legacy as a talented and influential vocalist in the jazz and R&B genres.
