Artist Bio:
The Go-Go's are an American all-female rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The original members were Belinda Carlisle (vocals), Jane Wiedlin (guitar, vocals), Charlotte Caffey (guitar, keyboards), Kathy Valentine (bass, vocals), and Gina Schock (drums). They are considered pioneers of the 1980s new wave music scene.

The Go-Go's achieved commercial success with their debut album, "Beauty and the Beat," released in 1981. The album topped the charts and included hit singles like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat." The band broke up in 1985 but reunited in the 1990s and continued to tour and release music sporadically. In 2021, the Go-Go's became the first all-female band inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
