Artist Bio:
The Go-Go's are an American all-female rock band that was formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The band's original lineup consisted of Belinda Carlisle on vocals, Jane Wiedlin on guitar and vocals, Charlotte Caffey on lead guitar and keyboards, Kathy Valentine on bass, and Gina Schock on drums. They are considered pioneers of the 1980s new wave music scene and are best known for their hit songs "We Got the Beat," "Our Lips Are Sealed," and "Vacation."


The Go-Go's achieved mainstream success with their debut album "Beauty and the Beat" in 1981, which was the first album by an all-female band to top the Billboard 200 chart. They have released a total of five studio albums and were inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011. The band has had a significant influence on the punk rock and new wave genres and continues to be celebrated for their contributions to music history.
