Artist Bio:
The Go-Go's are an American all-female rock band that formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The band's original lineup consisted of Belinda Carlisle (vocals), Jane Wiedlin (guitar), Charlotte Caffey (guitar/keyboards), Kathy Valentine (bass), and Gina Schock (drums). They are considered pioneers of the 1980s new wave music scene and are best known for their hits "We Got the Beat" and "Vacation."

The Go-Go's achieved mainstream success with their debut album, "Beauty and the Beat," which was released in 1981 and topped the charts, making them the first all-female band who wrote their own songs and played their own instruments to achieve a number one album. The band officially disbanded in 1985 but reunited several times for tours and recordings. In 2021, the Go-Go's were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, cementing their legacy as influential women in rock music.
