Artist Bio:
The Go-Go's are an American all-female rock band that formed in 1978 in Los Angeles, California. The original members of the band were Belinda Carlisle (vocals), Jane Wiedlin (guitar, vocals), Charlotte Caffey (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Kathy Valentine (bass, vocals), and Gina Schock (drums). They were known for their catchy pop-rock sound and energetic performances.

The Go-Go's achieved commercial success in the early 1980s with hits like "We Got the Beat," "Vacation," and "Our Lips Are Sealed." They became the first all-female band who wrote their own songs and played their own instruments to have a number one album on the Billboard 200 chart. The band broke up in 1985 but reunited in the late 1990s and have continued to perform and record music sporadically since then. The Go-Go's were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.
