Lightfoot achieved international success in the 1960s and 1970s with hits like "If You Could Read My Mind," "Sundown," and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."
Throughout his career, Lightfoot has received numerous awards and accolades, including 16 Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Awards).
