Gordon MacRae was an American actor and singer, born on March 12, 1921, in East Orange, New Jersey. He is best known for his baritone voice and leading roles in musical films and stage productions during the 1940s and 1950s. MacRae made his Broadway debut in the musical "Junior Miss" in 1941 and went on to star in productions such as "Carousel" and "Oklahoma!".
In addition to his stage career, Gordon MacRae appeared in several successful films, including "Oklahoma!" (1955) and "Carousel" (1956). He also had a successful recording career, releasing numerous albums and singles showcasing his vocal talents. MacRae's career spanned over four decades, earning him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He passed away on January 24, 1986, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
