Artist Bio:
G.Q. was an American R&B group formed in 1978. The group's name stood for "Good Quality," and they were signed to Arista Records. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1979 and featured their most popular single, "Disco Nights (Rock-Freak)." The song reached the top of the Billboard R&B chart and peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In addition to "Disco Nights (Rock-Freak)," G.Q. released other successful singles such as "I Do Love You" and "Sitting in the Park." The group's music was characterized by its soulful vocals, funky beats, and disco influences. G.Q. continued to make music throughout the 1980s, but they never achieved the same level of success as they did with their debut album.
