Graham Parker & The Shot was a British rock band formed in 1987 by singer-songwriter Graham Parker. The band was a continuation of Parker's solo career and included guitarist Brinsley Schwarz, bassist Kevin Jenkins, drummer Michael Braun, and keyboardist George Small. The Shot was known for their energetic live performances and a sound that blended elements of rock, new wave, and punk.

During their career, Graham Parker & The Shot released the album "Steady Nerves" in 1985, which received positive reviews from critics. The band toured extensively to support the album, gaining a loyal following of fans. However, they disbanded in 1989 after a short-lived run. Graham Parker continued to pursue a solo career after the dissolution of The Shot, releasing several albums and maintaining a strong presence in the music industry.
