Artist Bio:
Grand Funk Railroad is an American rock band that was formed in 1969 in Flint, Michigan. The band's original lineup consisted of Mark Farner on vocals and guitar, Don Brewer on drums and vocals, and Mel Schacher on bass. They were known for their hard rock sound and energetic live performances, and quickly gained popularity in the early 1970s.

Grand Funk Railroad released a series of successful albums in the early 1970s, including "Closer to Home" and "We're an American Band," which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band's music often featured a blend of blues rock, psychedelic rock, and heavy metal influences. Grand Funk Railroad disbanded in 1976 but reunited in the 1980s and continued to perform and release music intermittently. They were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2005.
