Throughout the 1970s, Grand Funk Railroad achieved great commercial success with hits such as "We're an American Band," "Some Kind of Wonderful," and "The Loco-Motion." They were also known for their massive concerts and sold-out arena shows. Despite facing some critical backlash, Grand Funk Railroad became one of the top-selling rock groups of the era. The band went through various lineup changes over the years but continued to tour and release music. Today, they are considered one of the pioneering bands in the development of hard rock and arena rock music.
