Artist Bio:
Grandmaster Slice, also known as Larry Ernest DeCuir Jr., is an American rapper and hip-hop artist. He gained recognition in the late 1980s with his hit single "Electric Slide (Shall We Dance)," which was a hip-hop version of the popular line dance song "Electric Boogie." The song peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1989 and became a dance floor favorite.
Despite the success of "Electric Slide (Shall We Dance)," Grandmaster Slice did not release any further major hits and faded from the music scene. He remains known for his contribution to hip-hop music with his unique blend of rap and dance music, particularly through his remix of the classic "Electric Boogie" song.
