Artist Bio:
Grateful Dead was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. The band is known for their unique and eclectic style that fused elements of rock, folk, blues, country, and psychedelia. They were pioneers of the improvisational jam band scene and are credited with creating their own subculture known as "Deadheads."


The band's lineup included Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, and Ron "Pigpen" McKernan among others. Grateful Dead gained a large and dedicated following through their live performances, which often featured extended improvisational jams. Some of their most famous songs include "Truckin'," "Uncle John's Band," "Casey Jones," and "Touch of Grey." The band disbanded in 1995 following the death of Jerry Garcia. Grateful Dead's music continues to be celebrated and their legacy lives on through their devoted fan base and archival releases.
