Great White is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The band gained popularity in the 1980s and early 1990s with their blend of hard rock and heavy metal music. Great White's most successful album, "Once Bitten," was released in 1987 and featured their hit single "Rock Me" which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2003, Great White faced a tragic incident when a fire broke out at a concert they were playing in Rhode Island, resulting in the deaths of 100 people. The band's guitarist, Ty Longley, was among those who lost their lives in the fire. Despite this tragedy, Great White continued to perform and release music, with their most recent studio album, "Full Circle," being released in 2017. Great White has maintained a loyal fan base over the years and continues to tour and perform live shows.
