Groove Theory is a musical duo comprised of vocalist Amel Larrieux and producer Bryce Wilson. The duo gained popularity in the mid-1990s with their debut self-titled album, released in 1995. Their hit single "Tell Me" reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
Amel Larrieux provided the soulful vocals while Bryce Wilson was responsible for the production, blending elements of R&B, soul, and hip-hop to create a unique sound. Despite their success with their debut album, Groove Theory disbanded shortly after its release.
