Artist Bio:
GTR was a British rock supergroup formed in 1986 by former Yes and Asia guitarist Steve Howe and former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. The band's lineup also included Max Bacon on vocals, Phil Spalding on bass, and Jonathan Mover on drums. They released their self-titled debut album "GTR" in 1986, which achieved moderate commercial success, reaching No. 11 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 28 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
The band's style was characterized by a fusion of progressive rock and pop, featuring intricate guitar work and strong vocal melodies. Despite the initial success of their debut album, GTR disbanded in 1987 due to creative differences among the members. Steve Howe and Steve Hackett returned to their respective solo careers following the breakup of the band.
