Artist Bio:
Gyrl is a female R&B group that was active in the 1990s. The group was formed by music producer and songwriter Teddy Riley, known for his work in the R&B and hip-hop genres. Gyrl consisted of three members: Tammy Lucas, Mimi, and Nycolia "Tye-V" Turman. They were signed to Riley's label, Lil' Man Records, and released their debut album in 1997 titled "Gyrl Get Your Groove On." The album featured the hit single "Play Another Slow Jam," which received moderate success on the R&B charts.

Despite their initial success, Gyrl disbanded shortly after the release of their debut album. The members went on to pursue individual careers in the music industry. Tammy Lucas continued to work as a singer and songwriter, collaborating with artists like En Vogue and Yolanda Adams. Mimi and Tye-V also went on to work on music projects, but Gyrl remained their only major group effort.
