Artist Bio:
Haircut One Hundred was a British new wave band formed in 1980 in London. The band's name was derived from a novel by French author Jean-Luc Godard. Their music style blended pop, funk, and new wave elements, creating a unique sound that gained popularity in the early 1980s. In 1982, they released their debut album, "Pelican West," which achieved commercial success and spawned hits such as "Love Plus One" and "Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl)."

Despite their initial success, internal conflicts and lineup changes led to the band's breakup in 1984. Lead singer Nick Heyward pursued a solo career, while other members went on to work on various music projects. Haircut One Hundred's music continues to be remembered for its catchy melodies, upbeat rhythms, and influence on the new wave genre.
