Artist Bio:
Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes were an American R&B/Soul group formed in Philadelphia in the late 1950s. The group's original lineup consisted of Harold Melvin as the lead vocalist, Bernard Wilson, Lawrence Brown, and Roosevelt Brodie. They gained popularity in the 1970s with a lineup that included Teddy Pendergrass as the lead vocalist.

Their most successful period was in the mid-1970s when they released a string of hit singles including "If You Don't Know Me By Now" and "The Love I Lost." The group's smooth vocals and soulful sound made them a prominent group in the Philadelphia soul scene. Despite lineup changes over the years, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes continued to record music and perform until the early 2000s. Their influence on R&B and soul music is still felt today.
