Harpers Bizarre was an American pop-rock group that was formed in the mid-1960s. The band was known for their rich vocal harmonies and sophisticated arrangements, drawing inspiration from artists like The Beach Boys and The Mamas & the Papas. They were signed to Warner Bros. Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1967, which featured covers of popular songs as well as original material.
Harpers Bizarre gained commercial success with their hit single "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" in 1967, which reached the top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band released a total of four albums before disbanding in the early 1970s. Despite their relatively short career, Harpers Bizarre left a lasting impact on the music scene with their unique blend of folk, pop, and rock influences.
