Harpers Bizarre was an American pop-rock group formed in the 1960s. The band's lineup consisted of Ted Templeman, Dick Scoppettone, Dick Yount, Eddie James, and John Petersen. They were known for their lush vocal harmonies, breezy melodies, and sophisticated arrangements, often incorporating elements of sunshine pop and baroque pop into their music.
Harpers Bizarre achieved commercial success with their cover of the Paul Simon song "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" and their hit single "Anything Goes." They released several albums throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, with their self-titled debut album being the most successful. Despite their popularity, Harpers Bizarre disbanded in 1970. Their music continues to be celebrated for its unique sound and contribution to the pop music landscape of the era.
