Artist Bio:
Head East is an American rock band formed in East Central Illinois in 1969. The band's original lineup consisted of John Schlitt, Mike Somerville, Roger Boyd, Larry Boyd, Steve Huston, and Danny Piper. They gained popularity in the 1970s with their album "Flat as a Pancake," released in 1974, which featured their hit single "Never Been Any Reason." The song reached number 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Head East continued to release music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with lineup changes occurring over the years. Despite not achieving mainstream success on the same level as some of their contemporaries, the band maintained a dedicated fan base and continued to tour and perform live. Head East has released a total of 11 studio albums, with their most recent release being "Raise a Little Hell" in 2013.
