Heather Headley is a Trinidadian-American singer, songwriter, and actress known for her powerful vocals and performances on both stage and screen. She was born on October 5, 1974, in Trinidad and Tobago, and later moved to the United States to pursue a career in music and theater. Headley rose to fame in the late 1990s as the original Nala in the Broadway production of "The Lion King" and later went on to star in several other successful musicals, including "Aida" and "The Color Purple."


In addition to her work in theater, Heather Headley has released multiple successful R&B and gospel albums, including her Grammy Award-winning album "Audience of One." She has also collaborated with various artists, such as Andrea Bocelli and Ricky Martin.
