She is best known for her empowering and feminist anthem "I Am Woman," which became a worldwide hit and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1973. Reddy was a pioneering figure in the women's movement of the 1970s and continued to advocate for gender equality throughout her career.


In addition to her music, Reddy also had a successful acting career, appearing in films such as "Pete's Dragon" and "Airport 1975." She won a Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance in the 1972 film "Pete's Dragon." Reddy retired from performing in the early 2000s but left a lasting impact on the music and entertainment industry with her powerful voice and advocacy for women's rights.
