Henry Gross is an American singer-songwriter known for his solo career as well as for being a founding member of the rock band Sha Na Na. He was born on April 1, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York. Gross released his debut solo album in 1972, which included his hit single "Shannon," a song dedicated to the passing of Beach Boys' member Carl Wilson's dog. The song reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In addition to his music career, Gross has also worked as a producer and has collaborated with various artists over the years.
