Henry Gross is an American singer-songwriter, best known for his hit song "Shannon" released in 1976. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1951 and began his music career at a young age, performing in bands and writing songs. Gross was a founding member of the band Sha Na Na, known for their 1950s-style rock and roll music, before embarking on a solo career.


In addition to "Shannon," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Henry Gross released several albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He continued to tour and perform live, showcasing his musical talents as a guitarist and vocalist. Gross has been praised for his catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, earning him a dedicated fan base over the years.
