Herb Alpert is an American musician, singer, and record producer born on March 31, 1935, in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his work as a trumpet player and the leader of the group Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass in the 1960s. The group achieved significant commercial success with hits like "A Taste of Honey" and "Spanish Flea".


Alpert has won multiple Grammy Awards throughout his career and has sold over 72 million records worldwide. In addition to his music career, he is also a successful businessman and co-founded A&M Records, which became one of the largest independent record labels in the world. Herb Alpert continues to perform and record music, showcasing his talent and passion for the arts.
