He is best known for his role as the leader of the Tijuana Brass, a group that popularized the Latin-infused pop sound in the 1960s. Alpert achieved immense success with the band, earning multiple Grammy Awards and scoring several hit songs, including "A Taste of Honey" and "Spanish Flea."
Apart from his music career, Herb Alpert is also a successful businessman, co-founding A&M Records, one of the most successful independent record labels in history. He has also pursued a solo career, releasing numerous albums that showcase his versatility as a musician.
