Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
Hi-Five was an American R&B group formed in Waco, Texas in 1989. The group consisted of Tony Thompson, Marcus Sanders, Roderick Clark, Russell Neal, and Toriano Easley. They gained popularity in the early 1990s with their hit songs such as "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)" and "She's Playing Hard to Get". Their self-titled debut album was released in 1990 and was certified platinum, reaching number one on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Hi-Five's music was known for its smooth harmonies and catchy melodies, which helped them achieve success in the R&B music scene. Despite their early success, the group faced challenges over the years, including lineup changes and personal struggles. Tragically, Tony Thompson passed away in 2007 at the age of 31. Hi-Five continued to perform and release music, but they never quite reached the same level of success as they did in their early years.
