Artist Bio:
Hi-Five was an American R&B group formed in Waco, Texas in 1989. The original members included Tony Thompson, Roderick "Pooh" Clark, Marcus Sanders, Russell Neal, and Toriano Easley. They gained popularity in the early 1990s with hit singles such as "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)" and "She's Playing Hard to Get." Their self-titled debut album was released in 1990 and achieved platinum status. Hi-Five's music was known for its smooth harmonies and catchy melodies, blending elements of R&B, pop, and new jack swing.

Despite their early success, Hi-Five experienced several lineup changes over the years. Tragically, original member Tony Thompson passed away in 2007 at the age of 31. The group continued to perform and release music with different members, but they never quite reached the same level of success as their early years. Hi-Five's contributions to the R&B music scene in the 1990s solidified their place as a memorable and influential group in the genre.
