Artist Bio:
High Inergy was an American R&B and soul group that was active in the 1970s and early 1980s. The group was formed in Pasadena, California, and originally consisted of sisters Vernessa and Barbara Mitchell, Linda Howard, and Michelle Rumph. They were signed to Motown Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1977. The group is best known for their hit single "You Can't Turn Me Off (In the Middle of Turning Me On)," which reached number 2 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1977.


High Inergy released a total of five albums during their career, with their music showcasing a blend of disco, funk, and soul influences. Despite achieving some commercial success, the group disbanded in the early 1980s. The members pursued solo careers and other musical endeavors after the group's breakup. High Inergy's music continues to be celebrated by fans of classic R&B and soul music.
