HIM was a Finnish rock band formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko "Linde" Lindström, and bassist Mikko "Migé" Paananen. The band's music style has been described as a mix of gothic rock, hard rock, and metal. HIM gained international recognition with their breakthrough album "Razorblade Romance" in 2000, which included the hit single "Join Me in Death."
Throughout their career, HIM released eight studio albums, with several of them reaching the top ten in various countries. They garnered a dedicated fan base known as the "Heartagram," named after the band's heart-shaped logo that combines a heart and a pentagram. HIM announced their farewell tour in 2017, and they played their final show on December 31, 2017, in their hometown of Helsinki. Ville Valo has since pursued a solo career, while other members have been involved in various musical projects.
