Artist Bio:
Hipsway is a Scottish pop band formed in 1984 in Glasgow, Scotland. The band's lineup consisted of Grahame Skinner on vocals, Pim Jones on guitar, Johnny McElhone on bass, and Harry Travers on drums. They achieved commercial success in the late 1980s with their self-titled debut album, which reached the UK Top 40 and spawned hit singles such as "The Honeythief" and "Tinder."
After the release of their debut album, Hipsway toured extensively in the UK and Europe, gaining a reputation for their energetic live performances. However, the band disbanded in 1989 after releasing their second album, "Scratch the Surface," which was less successful than their debut. Despite their relatively short-lived career, Hipsway left a lasting impact on the Scottish pop music scene of the 1980s.
