Artist Bio:
Holland-Dozier is not a single artist but a songwriting and production team consisting of Eddie Holland, Lamont Dozier, and Brian Holland. They were influential in shaping the sound of Motown Records in the 1960s and are known for their successful collaborations with artists such as The Supremes, The Four Tops, and Martha and the Vandellas. The trio wrote and produced numerous hit songs for Motown, including classics like "Baby Love," "Stop! In the Name of Love," and "You Can't Hurry Love."
Holland-Dozier left Motown in 1967 due to a dispute over royalties and formed their own record label, Invictus Records. They continued to produce hits for artists like Freda Payne and Chairmen of the Board. The team's innovative songwriting and production techniques have had a lasting impact on popular music, and they were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990.
