Hootie & The Blowfish is an American rock band formed in 1986 in South Carolina. The band's members include Darius Rucker (vocals, guitar), Mark Bryan (guitar, vocals), Dean Felber (bass guitar, vocals), and Jim Sonefeld (drums, vocals). They gained mainstream success in the mid-1990s with their debut album "Cracked Rear View," which went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time.

The band is known for their roots rock and pop rock sound, with hits such as "Hold My Hand," "Only Wanna Be with You," and "Let Her Cry." Hootie & The Blowfish have won several awards throughout their career, including a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1996. After taking a hiatus in the early 2000s, the band reunited in 2019 and continues to tour and release new music.
