Hootie & The Blowfish is an American rock band formed in 1986 in South Carolina. The band consists of Darius Rucker (vocals, guitar), Mark Bryan (guitar, vocals), Dean Felber (bass, vocals), and Jim Sonefeld (drums, vocals). They gained mainstream popularity in the 1990s with their debut album "Cracked Rear View," which has been certified platinum 21 times by the RIAA and is one of the best-selling albums of all time.

Hootie & The Blowfish are known for their rootsy rock sound, catchy melodies, and heartfelt lyrics. They have released several albums over the years, including "Fairweather Johnson," "Musical Chairs," and "Looking for Lucky." The band went on a hiatus in 2008 as Darius Rucker pursued a successful solo country music career. In 2019, Hootie & The Blowfish reunited for a tour and released a new album titled "Imperfect Circle."
