Hootie & The Blowfish is an American rock band formed in 1986 in South Carolina. The band consists of lead vocalist Darius Rucker, guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber, and drummer Jim Sonefeld. They gained mainstream success in the mid-1990s with their debut album "Cracked Rear View," which went on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time in the United States. The album featured hit singles such as "Hold My Hand," "Let Her Cry," and "Only Wanna Be with You."
Hootie & The Blowfish's music is characterized by their blend of rock, pop, and country influences, as well as Rucker's distinctive baritone voice. The band has released several albums since their debut, including "Fairweather Johnson," "Musical Chairs," and "Looking for Lucky."
