The band's original lineup consisted of Steve Marriott, Peter Frampton, Greg Ridley, and Jerry Shirley. They released their debut album, "As Safe as Yesterday Is," in 1969, followed by a string of successful albums such as "Town and Country," "Rock On," and "Smokin'." However, it was their live performances that truly showcased their raw energy and musical prowess, earning them a reputation as a dynamic and powerful live act.


Despite their initial success, internal conflicts and lineup changes plagued the band throughout the 1970s, leading to their eventual breakup in 1975.
