Icehouse is an Australian rock band formed in 1977 in Sydney. The band was originally known as "Flowers" before changing their name to Icehouse in 1981. The founding member and main creative force behind Icehouse is Iva Davies, who serves as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and plays guitar, bass, keyboards, and oboe.


Icehouse achieved international success in the 1980s with hits such as "Great Southern Land," "Hey Little Girl," and "Electric Blue." The band's sound is characterized by a blend of new wave, synth-pop, and rock, with Davies' distinctive vocals and songwriting style standing out.
