iio is a music project created by the New York-based producer Markus Moser and the Moldovan-born singer and songwriter Nadia Ali. The project was formed in 2001 and is best known for its hit single "Rapture," which was released in 2001 and became a worldwide success, reaching the top 10 in several countries. The song was later remixed by various DJs and became a dance anthem in the early 2000s.
iio released their debut album, "Poetica," in 2005, which featured tracks like "Rapture," "Is It Love?," and "At the End." The album received positive reviews and showcased the duo's talent for creating melodic and atmospheric dance music. iio's music is characterized by Ali's soulful vocals and Moser's electronic production, blending elements of house, trance, and pop. Despite their initial success, iio eventually went on hiatus, with Nadia Ali pursuing a solo career in dance music.
