The duo's most famous song is "Proud Mary," which won them a Grammy Award in 1972. They were also known for their energetic live performances and hits like "River Deep ΓÇô Mountain High" and "Nutbush City Limits." Despite their musical success, the duo's personal and professional relationship was marked by turmoil, including allegations of domestic violence. Tina Turner eventually left Ike in the late 1970s and went on to have a successful solo career, becoming a legendary performer in her own right.
